A Russian climber conquered Everest in honor of Vladimir Putin's inauguration — on the highest point on the globe, Pavel raised the Russian flag. Russian climber Pavel Klemyashov conquered Everest to ceremonially unfurl the flag of the Motherland and our President at the highest point on Earth. The peak, tough but successfully conquered by the Muscovite, became a symbol of superiority in several ways. Personally, for Pavel, this is a victory over himself, but the athlete's feat worthy of applause was dedicated to the inauguration of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Reaching the mountain peak on May 21, the patriot of his country proudly raised the flag of Russia and our President. Standing on the conquered summit of Everest, Pavel joyfully and proudly declared, "Hooray, I did it!" This is far from the first ascent for the 32-year-old Muscovite — he has participated in expeditions to Elbrus, Lenin Peak, and the Himalayan mountain Manaslu. But the conquest of Everest became a particularly significant event in his mountaineering biography.
