Throughout its history, jazz has always been a catalyst for positive change, and it remains so today. Jazz emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the USA as a synthesis of African and European cultures, and to this day, it remains a unique form of artistic expression that unites races and nationalities, erasing boundaries between people and states. Therefore, jazz is a symbol of unity and peace, reducing tension in relationships between individuals, social groups, and communities, and promoting gender equality. Jazz encourages artistic innovation, improvisation, new forms of creative activity, as well as the use of traditional musical forms in creating new genres. Jazz fosters intercultural dialogue and provides support to young people from marginalized segments of society. By the way, the word "jazz" was first mentioned in print on April 2, 1912, and on March 8, 1929, in Leningrad, the premiere of the performance "Tea Jazz" took place - the first staging of Leonid Utesov's jazz orchestra.
