On April 20th, the annual "Library Night" campaign will take place across the country. The Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, reminded that the events of the campaign traditionally attract the interest of readers across the country, and last year over six thousand institutions participated in 89 regions of Russia. "This is one of the country's main cultural events, which allows readers to meet contemporary authors, spend time interestingly, participate in lectures and workshops, and discover the classics from a new perspective," the minister wrote on her Telegram channel. This year, designated by the president as the Year of the Family, the theme of "Library Night" will be "Reading Together as a Family." "I invite our libraries, bookstores, literary museums, cultural centers, and other institutions to join. Readers consistently greet your projects with interest, and this year will be no exception," emphasized Olga Lyubimova. It should be noted that in 2024, the annual national educational campaign "Library Night" will be held for the 13th time. Over the years, this event has become a remarkable tradition for all lovers of libraries, books, and reading. Last year, the campaign featured over four thousand different events, with over 40,000 people visiting "Library Night" venues in Moscow alone.
