Over the last three years, Russia's trade turnover with the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has increased by 37% and reached $156 billion.
These figures were announced by the Deputy Prime Minister Marat Husnullin at the organizing committee meeting of the "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum." Participants believe that the forum will contribute to the expansion and strengthening of Russia's ties with the Muslim world.
In total, 125 sessions will take place on topics such as:
international cooperation;
science and technology;
investments;
industry;
halal industry;
Islamic finance;
culture, sports, tourism;
women's perspective.
Additionally, a plenary session on "Financial and logistical infrastructure of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation" will be held.
