Every year on June 14, the internet community celebrates International Blogger’s Day. The idea for this holiday was born in 2004. Immediately, 500 people from more than 40 countries united and decided they needed their own day — a kind of symbol of friendly relations among bloggers worldwide. A blogger is a person who independently runs and manages their online diary, where they regularly share events from their life, photos, thoughts, and opinions on various issues they find significant. Nowadays, blogging has become not only a hobby for many internet users but also a way to earn money. There are countless blog platforms on the internet dedicated to different themes and specialties, and social networks are also extremely popular, which can essentially be considered platforms for blogging — any user of a social network can turn their personal page into a blog and publish whatever they want. Among the most popular thematic directions of blogs are fashion and beauty, sports and fitness, cooking and travel, decor and life hacks, music and movies. Today's date brings people who write in their blogs in different languages closer together and allows them to support each other and all internet users. Anyone with internet access can join the community of bloggers, regardless of gender, nationality, or age. Thus, on Blogger’s Day, any internet user with their own blog can publish a short message of solidarity among all bloggers. In several countries, "live" meetings of bloggers have been held on this day for several years. Along with International Blogger’s Day, the so-called Blog Day is also celebrated annually on August 31. On this day, every blogger can post five links to other blogs on various topics on their page. As stated on the official website of the organizers of this holiday, "bloggers should definitely have at least one day to get to know their colleagues from different countries and with different interests."
