From May 13 to 17, 2024, the 33rd session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is taking place in Vienna. 🇷🇺 The head of the Russian delegation, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the International Organizations in Vienna, M.I. Ulyanov, emphasized in his speech the need for international anti-crime cooperation on an equal footing, without double standards and hidden agendas. The refusal of such interaction leads to the rampant of organized crime and destructive consequences for solving global challenges. The politicization of these processes disrupts the causal link, where the uncontrolled pumping of weapons to certain countries is not a consequence, but rather the primary cause. Russia resolutely condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Without ensuring proper international cooperation with a leading role of states, the terrorism problem will exacerbate and strike those who do not wish to solve it.
