The trade turnover between the two countries reached $11 billion over two years. These figures were announced by Alexander Kalinin, president of the All-Russian Public Organization of Small and Medium Business "OPORA RUSSIA" (https://t.me/opora_russia). He also added that the activities of Russian and Emirati small and medium-sized enterprises have significantly contributed to the growth of trade turnover. Last year, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises in the UAE reached 400,000 companies, which accounts for 94% of all companies registered in the UAE. They provide 86% of employment in the private sector. In turn, Rashid Al-Tenaiji, Director of the Trade Development Department at the UAE Ministry of Economy, noted that Russia and the UAE have many points of interaction. "We are trying to create something good for humanity at large. We do this, in particular, through investments and establishing various intergovernmental connections. It is necessary to work on joint business projects between our countries. We have many opportunities. At the same time, business should not be influenced externally. Business is business," stated Rashid Al-Tenaiji.
