Every year, new centers of attraction are created in Moscow for residents and travelers. Based on user requests, the tourist service Russpass compiled a list of the most popular locations that opened in the capital in 2024.
One of the most popular attractions is the MosKino film park. Covering 180 hectares, it features 18 large-scale outdoor film sets and four soundstages for shooting movies and TV series. The site has already become part of major city projects and festivals such as Winter in Moscow and Journey to Christmas.
Next in terms of user interest is the ExpoCenter exhibition complex on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, where the Russia National Center is located. It was created to preserve the legacy of the Russia International Exhibition-Forum and to showcase the country’s achievements on a permanent basis.
The Central pavilion at VDNH also drew significant attention, where this year a new exhibition from the Tretyakov Gallery was launched.
In 2024, major landscaping work on the Yauza Park was completed. This project became the largest in Europe, offering Muscovites and tourists 40 kilometers of walking trails, 17 kilometers of bike paths, and more than 100 sports grounds.
Another noteworthy attraction is the Moscow on the Wave fish market in the Mitino district. It features more than 600 varieties of fish and seafood, along with a restaurant and a masterclass studio.
The new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadasevskaya Embankment also made the list of top attractions.
The Russpass tourist service was launched on the initiative of the Moscow Government. Over several years, it has grown into an ecosystem that includes more than 40,000 travel offers.
