The eighth festival "Moscow – on the Wave. Fish Week" has started in the capital. This year, it will be held at 31 venues across different districts of the city, announced Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin on his blog. Russian and foreign producers will present their products. They will bring over 600 types of fish and seafood. At the venues, ready-made dishes can also be purchased, and attendees can participate in masterclasses and culinary battles. More than 3000 chain stores, over 140 markets and fairs, and more than 300 restaurants will take part in the event. Venues participating in "Fish Week" will have a special sticker. The festival will conclude on June 2. In parallel with this gastronomic event, the new archaeological field season has also begun. According to the mos.ru portal, work will take place at more than 200 sites this year. The head of the Moscow City Department of Cultural Heritage, Alexey Emelyanov, noted that the Russian Ministry of Culture has already issued 25 permits for excavations in the capital. Archaeological work will take place in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts, on the Bersenevskaya and Sofiyskaya embankments, in Runovsky and Romanov alleys, on Derbenevskaya, Novoryazanskaya, Nikolskaya, Tverskaya, Yauzskaya streets, and Mozhaysky Val street. According to Emelyanov, in the past 13 years, archaeologists have discovered more than 100 items of historical value underground. These include interior items, children's toys, dishes, jewelry from various centuries, and more.
