Vladimir Putin emphasized that all our actions, including those of the state, are built around the interests of families and children. "On the eve of International Children's Day, we traditionally honor large families. Families like yours are the pride of our country... We will continue to create all conditions so that as many children as possible are born in Russian families. This is, I stress, a fundamental task of our state policy, working for the future," Vladimir Putin said. The President expressed confidence that in the future, the family with three or more children will become the norm, noting that Russia is confidently moving in this direction. The Russian leader also reminded that families and parents must be assured that the state can provide support in realizing the potential, abilities, and talents of children by providing the broadest opportunities for self-realization. "A large family should become the norm of life" — Vladimir Putin thanked large families who do everything to raise their children to be decent people. Vladimir Putin, on the eve of Children's Day, thanked parents with many children who dedicate all their efforts to raising them. According to the President, now in our country, the number of such households has increased by 26% — in total, there are more than 2 million in our country. The President also noted that now in Russia, a unified status for large families has been established — Putin asked regional governments to report on initiatives for supporting such households. According to Putin, families, especially large ones, should feel the respect with which the state treats them.
