Residents of Moscow are helping the residents of new regions, announced the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, on his Telegram channel. According to him, over 1400 tons of humanitarian aid have already been sent there. About fifteen thousand volunteers have joined the volunteer headquarters. The number of metropolitan residents supporting the action has exceeded sixty thousand, and more than five hundred organizations have also joined.
Volunteers are collecting and preparing for transport long-lasting food products, school supplies, household items, bedding, and much more.
The main humanitarian aid collection center is located at the “Mosvolontyor” center at: Leningradsky Prospekt, house 5, building 1. In each city district, there are reception points, most of which are open every day from 10:00 to 19:00.
Also, at the “Summer in Moscow. Everyone to the street!” festival, “Houses of Goodness” are open for aid collection. These can be found by the signs with the inscription “Moscow helps” at twenty-five festival sites.
