Video projections and installations will tell visitors New Year's stories. Every evening until January 20, the facades of 10 architectural landmarks will come alive with fairy-tale characters.
For instance, the old Novikov mansion on Bolshaya Polyanka will transform into the Ice Castle of the Snow Queen. Passersby will witness scenes from the famous fairy tale.
Children will be delighted to meet Karlsson, who will settle near the chimney of a house on Kuznetsky Most. In the evenings, he will appear on the roof and play pranks.
"Windows to Fairy Tales" will open on Stoleshnikov Lane, featuring the Oak Tree from Russian folklore, the Firebird, Ded Moroz, and the Water Spirit.
On the dome of the Moscow Planetarium, Ded Moroz will embark on a cosmic journey. The magician will race his sleigh along Saturn's rings and plant a flag on the Moon's surface.
The facade of the S.V. Obraztsov State Academic Puppet Theater will bring magical clocks to life.
In Theater Square, in front of the Bolshoi Theater, guests will see how the building's facade transforms into New Year's postcards and will even be able to send them to friends via QR code.
The video projections will be on display daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On December 31 and January 1, all the magical scenes will be available around the clock.
