Russian swimmers won gold in the mixed relay at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest.
The Russian team won with a total time of 1 minute 35.36 seconds, setting a new European record. Gold medals in the team were awarded to Miron Lifintsev, Kirill Prigoda, Arina Surkova, and Darya Trofimova.
Additionally, Miron Lifintsev took first place in the 100-meter backstroke. Journalist Dmitry Guberniev called his victory a triumph of Russian sports. However, the organizers did not conduct an interview with the swimmer due to the conditions for Russian athletes' participation in international tournaments.
