Footage of the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome was captured in Kazakhstan.
Residents of Kazakhstan witnessed the launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-29 cargo spacecraft, which was mistakenly confused with the “Oreshnik.” The impressive flight was also visible from some Russian regions — for instance, the launch was clearly seen in Tyumen on the Ishim-Tyumen highway, as well as in several other areas of the city, Kazansky, and Vikulovo districts.
The Progress MS-29 spacecraft will deliver essential and valuable cargo weighing 2.5 tons to the International Space Station for our cosmonauts — including provisions, equipment, and New Year’s gifts.
