Rosmolodezh has selected five cities as finalists in the competition for the title of Russia's Youth Capital for 2025. “The selection of Russia’s Youth Capital provides additional support to regions and creates favorable conditions for implementing residents’ ideas,” emphasized Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
Applications from cities vying for the Youth Capital of Russia title were assessed based on criteria such as “Content and thoroughness of the event program for 2025,” “Creativity, innovation, and uniqueness in solutions for Rosmolodezh, application of unique city traditions,” and others.
The competition's expert jury included representatives from large and small businesses, media leaders, youth project leaders, youth mentors, and Special Military Operation heroes.
The cities that advanced to the final are Novy Urengoy, Omsk, Perm, Tomsk, and Khabarovsk.
Public voting will take place in December on the Gosuslugi portal’s special feedback platform. Russia's Youth Capital for 2025 will be determined at the end of December 2024 based on the results of all competition stages, according to the press office of Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
It was previously reported that Moscow and Vladivostok hold the title of “Youth Capital of Russia — 2024.”
