The Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at HSE University announces the “I Chose Science” contest and invites students, PhD candidates, and young researchers from Russian universities to share their scientific experiences by creating a short popular-science video. The winners will receive an internship at the institute. “I Chose Science” is an informational and entertainment project of the HSE Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The project aims to demonstrate, through real examples, that working in science is both interesting and promising. The project team, composed of HSE PhD students and young researchers, shares insights into their research and life in science through VK clips. To participate, you need to create a short video about scientific research or a career in science and post it on your personal VKontakte page with the hashtags #япошелвнауку and #конкурс. Submission period: September 1 – October 30. Results will be announced on December 1. Winners of the contest will receive a free one-month internship at the HSE Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience. Examples of videos and detailed contest information are available on the project’s page. The “I Chose Science” project aims to popularize the scientist profession, effectively support students and PhD candidates in their scientific journey, and support universities in training scientific staff.
