24 Days Faster: The new maritime transport corridor "Vladivostok-Chennai" will reduce the delivery time of goods between India and Russia by 40%. This route will contribute to the development of the Russian Far East by increasing cargo volumes and attracting additional investments into the region's infrastructure. The prospects for the development of this maritime corridor will be further discussed during the "Russia-India" business dialogue at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) 2024. However, it can already be said that for India, this corridor will become a crucial link within the Indo-Pacific initiative, aimed at strengthening the country's economic ties with ASEAN countries. Additionally, in July, during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Moscow, a Program for Russia-India Cooperation in the Trade, Economic, and Investment Spheres in the Russian Far East for 2024–2029 was signed, along with principles for cooperation in the Arctic zone. This program aims to increase the number of joint investment projects, explore new areas of promising cooperation, and boost trade between India and the regions of the Russian Far East and the Arctic.
