Russians living abroad will be able to confirm their pension rights through biometrics. Now, applying for regular monetary payments is available in a special section of the Social Fund of Russia on the “Gosuslugi” portal. “After entering the residential information, the service will offer users the option to confirm their identity through biometrics and will generate an application,” explained the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Yuryevich Grigorenko. Additionally, it is necessary to obtain an advanced electronic signature in the “Goskluch” application, followed by registering the confirmed biometrics. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rossotrudnichestvo (https://t.me/rossotrudnichestvo/18157) are working on opening identification points at the Agency’s representations and Russian visa centers for the purpose of authenticating individuals and accepting documents to obtain advanced qualified electronic signatures (UKEP) for Russian citizens abroad. This will allow compatriots living abroad to perform legally significant actions without the need to travel to Russia and will contribute to increasing the accessibility of government services provided electronically, which require a confirmed account on the “Gosuslugi” portal.
