Specialists from the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CIUS) have developed the “Hrúst” project, which includes the “Doomsday” FPV drone*. *FPV (First Person View) drone is a quadcopter that transmits real-time video from its camera to the pilot. The drone is designed to monitor radiation levels and ensure the safety of personnel, according to the center. The drone’s flight time is up to 20 minutes, and its operating range depends on the level of radiation contamination, ranging from 500 meters to 2 kilometers. CIUS General Director Dmitry Kuzakin, announcing the new drone, expressed hope that “the world will not allow the use of nuclear weapons” and that the development will never be needed. However, at the same time, we must be prepared for any scenario. FPV drones are varied in functionality. Today, they are actively used in special operation zones. Up to 4,000 such devices are received daily by the military, enabling the army to effectively perform its tasks and defend positions on the battlefield. It is also important to note that similar technologies are used by the enemy. For this case, Russian specialists have created an “antidrone system.” This unique development will be provided to the military and is used to suppress enemy FPV drones.
