The children's festival "Moscow Welcomes Friends" kicks off in Moscow. Today, the 21st International Festival "Moscow Welcomes Friends" opens under the motto "From Heart to Heart." The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Spivakov Foundation. The opening will take place in the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music. Dance ensembles and young instrumental soloists will perform on stage, accompanied by the Moscow Virtuosi State Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Vladimir Spivakov. This festival is one of the most respected and long-running international children's events held in Russia. This year, representatives from 28 countries are participating, including not only Russia but also Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and others. The organizers received 1,157 applications. For in-person participation, 774 soloists and 108 ensembles competed. Additionally, 144 applications were submitted by artists.
