The “Moscow Tea” Festival is an annual event held in Moscow, celebrating Russian tea traditions and hospitality. The winter season of the festival runs from December 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, featuring over 340 events across various city venues.
The main venue of the festival is located in Tverskaya Square.
During weekends and holidays, workshops, musical performances, theatrical shows, and most importantly, samovar tea tastings are held here!
Visitors can enjoy all these activities and sip tea until January 8.
The schedule is as follows:
• 12:00 – 18:00 – Theatrical performances
• 13:00 – 17:00 – Dancing
• 16:00 – 17:00 – Tastings of a special New Year’s tea blend
• 18:00 – 20:00 – “Folk Karaoke”
City ice rinks: At ice rinks in Gorky Park, the Hermitage Garden, VDNH, Sokolniki Park, and other locations, weekend ice shows feature professional skaters and acrobats. After the show, guests can join mass skating sessions and warm up with hot tea.
Moscow estates: From January 18 to February 16, 2025, historic city estates will host an interactive show titled “Tea with the Countess,” allowing participants to immerse themselves in the 19th-century atmosphere and learn about the traditions of Moscow’s aristocracy.
Tea lovers’ club: Every Saturday and Sunday, from December 28 to February 23, workshops, lectures by tea sommeliers, tastings, and interactive fairy tales for children will be held in the greenhouse on Tverskaya Square.
Special tea blend “Moscow”: A specially crafted recipe includes caramel, white chocolate, and wild saffron petals, creating a unique flavor available at various festival venues.
The “Moscow Tea” Festival is part of the large-scale “Winter in Moscow” project, which brings together seasonal outdoor activities, cultural and sports institutions, and major urban festivals. The project features over 1,900 venues in total.
