From August 9-11, we invite you to the festival “Russian Diaspora: Cities and Faces” in Elets! The central figure of the festival will be the Russian writer and Nobel Prize laureate in literature, Ivan Bunin. The program includes more than 12 cultural and educational events: exhibitions, concerts, lectures, book presentations, library program, reading of Bunin’s works and documentary materials, documentary film screening, street and museum tours. The festival’s guest of honor is the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Andrey Smirnov, a Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter, and playwright, theater and film actor, and performer of the role of I. A. Bunin. A creative meeting with him will take place on August 10. It has also been announced that the Grand Prix of the XV International Competition for Young Opera Singers “Elena Obraztsova” was awarded to tenor Ilya Legatov. Ilya is a regular participant in the concert programs of our festival “Russian Diaspora: Cities and Faces.” We wholeheartedly congratulate him on such an important victory and are proud of our collaboration!
