This Saturday, August 17th, at 6:00 PM, we invite you to a screening of the film "The Poster" (France, 1924). The screening will take place in the courtyard of the Museum of Russian Abroad (Moscow), with entry by prior registration. Plot: Marie spends a night with a wealthy idler. Their son becomes her only solace. Several years later, she sends a photo of her son to a contest held by a major company. The boy dies suddenly from an illness, but his photo appears on large posters all over the city as the contest winner. Marie tries to force the advertising company owner to remove the images of her son from the city walls. This series of film screenings is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of theater and film actor Ivan Mozzhukhin. The film "The Poster" will be presented by Andrey Ikko, the chief art historian of the analytical department of the Russian State Film Fund.
