The organizers are ROSKINO in collaboration with the Chinese Film Archive, with support from the Russian Ministry of Culture and the National Film Administration of China. The program features new releases from 2024, such as the sci-fi blockbuster “One Hundred Years Ahead” and the Yakut drama “Where the Cranes Dance”; as well as popular films from previous years - “Master of the Wind,” which tells the story of the famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, the drama “Light,” and the full-length animated films “Chink. The Tail Detective” and “Buka. My Favorite Monster.” A significant event of the festival will be the screening of the 1950 documentary “Victory of the Chinese People,” whose digitization was ensured by Gosfilmofond of Russia. The film will be presented as part of a special screening for researchers of the Chinese Film Archive. The Russian delegation of filmmakers includes directors Mikhail Lukachevski (“Where the Cranes Dance”), Anton Maslov (“Gone Crazy”), and Anton Kolomeets (“Light”), as well as executive producer Georgy Gitis (“Buka. My Favorite Monster”) and the director of international sales for “Central Partnership,” Nikolai Zlatopolski (“One Hundred Years Ahead,” “Master of the Wind”). The festival is scheduled to take place in three cities in China. In Beijing, screenings will be held from August 5 to 10. In Nanjing - from August 7 to 10, and from August 9 to 11, Russian films will be presented in Shenzhen. The event is timed to the 17th session of the Sub-Commission on Cinematographic Cooperation of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation.
