The Billiards World Championship will take place at the Novosibirsk Expocenter in November 2024. Representatives from 30 countries will participate, reports RBC-Novosibirsk, citing the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports. The sporting event will be held from November 17 to 24. BRICS countries plan to participate in the championship. In addition to Russia, the organization includes India, China, Brazil, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia. Representatives from countries in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as other states, are also expected. This is the second such championship to be held in Novosibirsk. The last time the competitions were held was in 2009.
