New season of the “Battle of Robots” begins in Russia
On September 28, 2024, in Moscow at the “CSKA Arena” sports complex, the first qualifying round of the new season of the “Battle of Robots” is scheduled to take place — an international championship where teams of robotics engineers showcase their skills. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.
The organizers announced that a total of 96 teams from Russia, India, Brazil, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and China will compete in this new season. They will bring 64 robots weighing up to 110 kg and 32 mini-robots weighing up to 15 kg. The championship winners will be awarded a prize fund of 66 million rubles.
It is also worth noting that in the fall of 2024, spectators can look forward to a new discipline — the “Mini-Robot Battle” for participants aged 10-17, competing with machines weighing up to 15 kg.
