Starting November 1, Russian citizens residing abroad will have the opportunity to obtain an electronic signature as part of an experiment conducted in several countries. The experiment will take place from November 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025, in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
In the first two countries, Russian citizens seeking to obtain an electronic signature will be received at information and consultation centers affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the reception will take place at Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices.
The relevant government decree was published on October 23 (http://publication.pravo.gov.ru/document/0001202410250066). Based on the experiment's results, a decision will be made regarding the feasibility of continuing these services on a permanent basis.
