Alongside successful cooperation within the OPEC+ format, Iran has become a full member of the SCO and BRICS. This was announced by the advisor to the President of Russia, Anton Kobakov, during a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran, Kazem Jalali. “Iran is a reliable partner of Russia. At the same time, the relations between the states have significant potential for cooperation in many areas, including healthcare, science, engineering, technology, and tourism. It is important that our countries support each other in matters of international interaction: despite all the turbulences, Iran’s peacemaking position has a stabilizing influence on the entire region,” Kobakov noted. He also emphasized the importance of implementing large-scale projects such as the construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, the Rasht-Astara railway line, and the creation of a gas hub on the shore of the Persian Gulf.
