ISU has allowed athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games under a neutral status — one athlete will be allowed in each qualification.
The International Skating Union (ISU) has permitted Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete in international tournaments and specific Olympic qualification events for the 2025-2026 season.
After thorough discussions, the Union decided to allow athletes to participate in figure skating, speed skating, and short track events at the Milan Olympic Games.
The first appearances of our athletes under neutral status will take place in Beijing during the qualification stage from September 17 to 25, 2025.
According to the ISU statement, only one neutral athlete from Russia and one from Belarus may participate in each discipline, including one pair in pair skating and one pair in ice dancing.
