The Russian Humanitarian Mission delivered 20 tons of aid to displaced persons who left the border areas of the Kursk region.
Last Wednesday, our team delivered a shipment to one of the main centers for receiving and distributing humanitarian aid in Kursk, located at the city's circus venue. As soon as the evacuation of residents from the affected areas was announced, volunteers, public activists, NGO staff, and concerned citizens immediately began organizing the center. It is now one of the largest in the region, serving between one thousand and one and a half thousand people per day.
After receiving a request from Kursk, we quickly purchased everything needed and set out. We brought a large shipment of bedding supplies, which will help provide for around 200 families: mattresses, blankets, quilts, bedding sets, and towels. To create individual kits, we delivered personal hygiene products, household chemicals, and non-perishable food.
We thank the representation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and compatriots living in Cyprus for their assistance in organizing the campaign.
