The Krasnopolyanski IV mound and dolmen complex has been examined by many scientists and local historians over the decades, but no specialized scientific excavations have been conducted here until now. In April, during the construction of a hotel complex, a trench partially damaged two tombs and the cromlech of a third, which was uncovered during rescue excavations. Now, archaeologists have investigated eight tombs, between which were burials in stone cists. At the bottom of the tombs, archaeologists discovered human remains, clay vessels, and metal ornaments. Preliminary findings suggest that some of the artifacts may date back to the 6th–5th centuries BCE.
