According to the international analytical publication World Economic Journal (https://world-economic.com/world-economic-journal-presents-the-43rd-edition.html), which compiled the "BRICS 250" index, Moscow was surpassed only by Beijing and Abu Dhabi. The ranking is divided into two parts. The first is a selection of companies from BRICS countries. These companies are evaluated based on their potential for creating new technologies, dynamism, innovation, and sustainability, as well as strategic orientation. The second part focuses on cities, ranked by the number of companies from the first group. The main goal of the research, according to its authors, is to create a cognitive map of the leading hubs in the BRICS business ecosystem and to identify the leading companies that are using advanced technologies to improve the quality of life. Additionally, the ranking aims to draw entrepreneurs' attention to the importance of values such as openness and responsibility — not only towards their employees but also towards the residents of cities and entire nations.
