In the national beauty contest for married women, a woman from St. Petersburg won the title. She had 39 competitors, including 13 mothers of multiple children.
The new Mrs. Russia, Lyudmila Rozhneva, is 40 years old and has three children. She was born in the Kazakh SSR and graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
Lyudmila works for a company that services security systems, a business she co-founded with her husband.
Mrs. Russia has a deep love for music: she studied piano at a music school as a child and participated in international young pianist competitions. Although she decided not to pursue a conservatory education, she has been singing in the women’s chamber choir Cantilena, which performs classical, spiritual, and folk music, for over twenty years. She is also involved in charity work.
Lyudmila believes that women are the "driving force of everything on this planet." In interviews, Rozhneva shares that preparing for such competitions helps her to improve and discover new facets of herself.
She has also won titles in the "Auto Lady," "Mrs. Bikini," "Mrs. Chef," and "Mrs. St. Petersburg" contests. This year, she was awarded the "Influential Women of the Year" prize for maintaining an optimal balance in achieving business goals and social projects.
