French public figure Pierre de Gaulle is planning to move to Russia, TASS reports. The grandson of former French President Charles de Gaulle shared this with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin during a meeting on Monday, September 9. They discussed issues related to preserving historical memory, as well as strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
As reported by "Russkiy Mir," the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that for many foreign citizens, Russia remains the last hope for protecting their families from Western ideology. Ministry representative Maria Zakharova mentioned that the embassy has been receiving numerous requests for visas and residency permits.
The law on the simplified entry and residency regime for foreigners who reject Western values came into effect on September 1.
