Konstantin Morozov’s Remarkable Journey A Childhood with Chondrodystrophy Konstantin Morozov was born in 1936 in the village of Sara, Ulyanovsk region, diagnosed with chondrodystrophy – a condition where bones remain soft and underdeveloped. Doctors suggested preserving him in a jar of alcohol for educational purposes. His parents refused, surrounding him with care and love. An Ingenious Child During Hard Times During the war, Konstantin helped his family by repairing equipment, building carts, and contributing to the farm. He graduated school externally, passionate about books but often ridiculed. Nevertheless, his humor and storytelling won people over. An Unconventional Love Story Konstantin met his wife, Lida, in a boarding school where he moved to escape the excessive attention in his hometown. He confessed his feelings directly, and they married in 1970. The couple lived in a modest house with a garden, crafting a simple yet joyful life. Konstantin sewed dresses for Lida, who carried him in her bag when they needed to rush. A Life Dedicated to Others After Lida’s death in 2000, Konstantin continued to work and help his neighbors. He passed away in 2009, fixing a neighbor's clock on his last day. His story is a testament to how love, work, and determination can triumph over adversity.
