The "Father Frost Train" departed from Veliky Ustyug on a New Year’s journey across Russian cities.
The announcement was made by the Governor of the Vologda Region, Georgy Filimonov. “Bon voyage!” he wrote on his Telegram channel, attaching a video of the festive train.
The "Father Frost Train" will travel across all of Russia – visiting Central Russia, Siberia, and the Far East.
It will return to Veliky Ustyug on January 11, 2025.
According to Filimonov, passengers on the train will be able to participate in various quests and tests, visit a puppet theater, and even meet Father Frost himself.
The train will stop in a total of 64 cities, hosting a free performance in each one. It is scheduled to arrive in Moscow on January 3.
Some cities were removed from the route for safety reasons. For instance, this year, residents of the Krasnodar region will not see the "Father Frost Train."
The "Father Frost Train" is a special train consisting of 19 carriages. It has been traveling across Russian cities since 2021, celebrating New Year at the stations it visits.
