The clinic train travels through the remote areas of Siberia On the railway in the Krasnoyarsk region, the "Doctor Voino-Yasenetsky ('Saint Luke')" train operates, where you can undergo examinations, take tests, get X-rays, ultrasounds, and even visit a dentist. It is needed by the residents of small settlements. Consultations are provided free of charge under the compulsory medical insurance policy (OMS), just like in other clinics in the country. The difference is that this "clinic" arrives in remote settlements for one or two days and conducts consultations right in the train car. This is a joint project of Russian Railways (RZD) and the Krasnoyarsk region. Last year, the "Saint Luke" train visited 81 stations of the Krasnoyarsk railway and served over 12,000 people. In 2024, RZD plans to launch the "Saint Panteleimon" medical train, which will operate in the Far East. It will include cars for radiological and functional diagnostics, surgery, a laboratory, and more.
