A truly unique and mysterious place in this stunning corner is the so-called Valley of Castles.
Interestingly, the official name of this place is Kala-Kulak Gorge. The valley can be found in the Kala-Kulak Gorge, not far from the tent camp.
The majestic slopes of the gorge are adorned with sharp spires, which were formed due to the weathering of soft rocks.
The silhouettes of these stone formations resemble the sharp teeth of a monster, as if they are part of a giant dragon or shark. These stone formations, ranging in height from 10 to 15 meters, have earned the nickname "castles."
On the horizon of the soft plain at 2,585 meters, Mount Tuzluk rises, giving the landscape a special character. Its height from base to summit is 40 meters. Here, in the gorge, the mountain is known by various names: the Caucasian Pyramid, the Treasury of the Sun, or the Sacred Rock.
Tuzluk is known as a place of power, and everyone who reaches the summit feels the flow of energy. The unique feature of this mountain's location is the slope, which is close to 45 degrees, making it an excellent place to observe the North Star. The geometric characteristics of Tuzluk amaze with their precision, correctness, and harmonious proportions.
Tuzluk is included in all pilgrimage routes of the Greater Caucasus, surrounded by a universal belief in its power. As travelers ascend to the summit, they are met with a mysterious sight—stone pillars rising from the depths of the earth, arranged on a perfect plane. It is believed that these megaliths serve as an energy shield for the mountain. There are suggestions that the summit was previously used in ritual ceremonies.
You can only reach this place by car or organized transfer. Public transportation does not go there. The road to this place is an attraction in itself.
Previously, there was no road to Jily-Su, and the northern part of the Elbrus region remained inaccessible, but now the asphalt is perfectly smooth. The uniqueness of this road lies in the fact that it does not follow ordinary logic and is laid across the tops of cliffs.
This is not just a resort; it is an immersion into the stunning world of mountain landscapes, healing waters, and authentic Caucasian hospitality.
