Two more families of Old Believers have moved to the Primorsky Krai, reports "Baikal24". They arrived from Brazil as part of a program to assist the voluntary resettlement of compatriots from abroad to Russia. They are relatives of Old Believers who have lived in Russia's Far East for several years. The new residents of the region were welcomed at the airport not only by relatives but also by government officials. The settlers plan to engage in agriculture, develop livestock farming, hope to receive a land plot, and work in the fields. Ksenia Kuznetsova, who arrived from Brazil with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, said they feel good. Currently, more than fifty families of Old Believers, who have become participants in the government program, live in Primorsky. According to "Russian World", about a hundred families of Old Believers from Latin American countries express their desire to move to Russia. Metropolitan of Moscow and all Russia Cornelius, who heads the Russian Orthodox Old Believers Church (ROOBC), stated that about fifty Old Believers dream of returning to their ancestral homeland from the United States. According to him, they are not limited to just the Far Eastern regions and are willing to consider all of Russia. The head of the ROOBC is confident that the resettlement program, approved by the country's government, is bearing fruit, although the process has been negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The repatriation of Old Believers is taking place from abroad, particularly from Latin America. Old Believers have been returning from abroad to the Far East since 2009. There are now four locations for their settlement in the Primorsky Krai and Amur region.
