The "Parade of Percussion Instruments" Drumsfest Russia’24 will take place in Moscow in October. In October, the 10th International Festival-Competition "Parade of Percussion Instruments" – Drumsfest Russia’24 will be held in Moscow. Percussion performers—students, professional and amateur groups, and musicians—are invited to participate. The competition will be held in three age categories and in six nominations across various directions and genres: from solo performances to ensembles and wind and percussion orchestras. The performances will be judged by well-known performing musicians within the professional community. This is what sets the "Parade of Percussion" apart from many other competitions, where the jury primarily consists of teachers. The program of additional events includes master classes by renowned teachers and separate concert performances at venues across Moscow. Professional development courses are planned for instructors. The competition is held as part of the Moscow Government's project "Victory Park: The Main Patriotic," implemented in cooperation with the administration of the Moscow Museum, the Victory Museum, with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture and the Valery Khalilov Charitable Foundation. Traditionally, valuable instruments, including those from domestic manufacturers, will be awarded as the Grand Prix, including a concert xylophone from the Forte company and drums from the Evgeny Chuzhbinov factory.
