Some of the most renowned actors such as Tatiana Peltzer, Anatoly Papanov, Andrei Mironov, and Olga Aroseva have performed at one of the most visited theaters in the capital. Today, the Satire Theater opens its anniversary season. Over 100 years of work, the troupe has presented more than 400 productions to audiences, and in the new season, 8 premieres are being prepared. In honor of the anniversary, the building on Triumfalnaya Square has been renovated. The familiar look of the main facade has been preserved, but its structure has become more modern and functional. For example, a media screen has been added, which will display scenes from performances of various years. The theater’s dome has been refurbished. Its metal covering has been replaced, and the previous gray color has been changed to terracotta. To prevent snow accumulation, heating systems have been installed on the roof and dome. The windows have also been replaced, and the entrance area has been updated. In the evening, the facade looks especially beautiful thanks to architectural and artistic lighting, with more than 130 fixtures and 500 meters of neon tape installed.
