The Open First Aid Contest will be held for the first time at the IX All-Russian Occupational Safety Week. From September 10 to 13, 2024, as part of the forum, the Open First Aid Contest will take place. "Training employees to provide first aid is an employer's duty. From September 1, 2024, the new procedure for providing first aid comes into effect: the sequence of actions for its provision has been added to the measures. First aid can be administered without the victim's consent, unless they have previously refused assistance. Before taking any action, you must verbally inform the victim and those around you about your readiness to provide first aid, as well as the commencement of the aid. The open contest will allow us to assess the level of awareness among employers about the new requirements and understand what aspects need special attention," said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Vovchenko. The event will consist of several tasks. The first task – a test of 15 questions on first aid topics – allows for one or several correct answers. The second task – "First Aid Provision" – requires participants to solve a situational problem, demonstrating first aid skills to victims in various emergency conditions according to one or two scenarios simultaneously. The chief judge noted that in the event of a tie, a third task – "First Aid Technique Training" – may be conducted. Both teams (three people – captain and two members) and individual participants can take part in the Open Contest. However, applications must be submitted in advance – no later than 15 days before the event. Applications can be sent in free form, indicating the full name, position, company, email, and phone number for contact to: msl@allsafety.ru. Organizer's contact phone: +79161210925.
