The Roscongress Foundation and MGIMO experts have prepared a digest on the role of the International North – South Transport Corridor (INSTC) in the modern business world. This extensive project, stretching 7200 km from St. Petersburg to Mumbai, connects Europe, the Indian Ocean, and the Persian Gulf through Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. According to the Russian Federation’s strategy until 2030, the INSTC is recognized as a key element of foreign trade strategy. This alternative transport route presents new opportunities for strengthening trade ties. Currently, the project has three branches, but the challenge remains the lack of infrastructure, which is planned to be overcome to stimulate development.
