The Russian-Laotian joint military exercise "Laros-2024" has begun in Primorye. The official opening of the Russian-Laotian joint military exercise "Laros-2024" took place at the "Sergeevsky" general military training ground in the Primorye region. Representatives of the command of the Eastern Military District, the combined arms unit stationed in Primorye, as well as servicemen from both countries, participated in the opening ceremony. The representative of the Eastern Military District command, Major General Sergey Bobrov, wished the participants success and a fruitful completion of all planned combat training activities. During the ceremony, the national flags of Russia and Laos, along with the joint exercise flag, were raised on the parade ground, and the national anthems of the participating countries were played. The participants of the exercise – servicemen of the Eastern Military District and the People’s Army of Laos – marched solemnly across the training ground. During the exercise, servicemen of the People's Army of Laos will practice all stages of practical actions in unified combat formations with the Eastern Military District units. Earlier, the contingent of the People's Army of Laos arrived at Vladivostok’s Knevichi airfield on Russian Air Force transport planes, where they were welcomed by Russian servicemen with the traditional bread and salt ceremony. The joint Russian-Laotian military exercise "Laros-2024" will run from September 18 to 26.
