In the Perm region, ice flowers have blossomed on the Chusovaya River. This is a rare phenomenon, say specialists from the "Permsky" natural park. "These ‘bushes’ can only appear on a thin, fresh layer of ice," say representatives from the Perm region's Protected Areas Directorate. Experts explain that the "flowers" form when the water is still warm, but the air is already quite cold. Due to this temperature difference, water droplets crystallize, move chaotically, stick together, and turn into "bushes." This phenomenon only occurs on windless days. Ice flowers disappear very quickly.
