On May 30, in Arkhangelsk, the forum “Arctic. The Ice Has Moved” will open, gathering about 400 participants from Russia and abroad, and will last until June 3. The purpose of this project is to familiarize young people with the industrial potential of the North and to show the prospects for the development of Arctic territories. The events will cover the following areas: ecology and volunteering, industry and business in cold climates, agriculture in risky regions, culture and tourism, science and technology, healthcare, education and human resources, digital technologies. For five days, young people from different regions of Russia and abroad will participate in educational events, round tables, and workshops, offering ideas for the development of Arctic territories. The official opening of the forum will take place on May 30 at the regional youth center, with the participation of representatives of federal and regional authorities and deputies. The main event of the forum will be the plenary session “Russia’s Strategy in the Arctic.” Also, the fourth season of cleanup within the “Clean Arctic” project will be launched at the forum. Forum participants will join the “Green Deeds Marathon” of the All-Russian Environmental Movement “Ecosystem.” As part of the international campaign “Garden of Memory,” they will plant alleys in Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk. The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Forestry Complex of the Arkhangelsk Region, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), and the “Clean Arctic” project.
