The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024" has kicked off at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center. The event will run from August 12 to 14.
President Vladimir Putin noted that the forum is being held for the tenth time and traditionally attracts the attention of experts and journalists from around the world.
"We value and support this interest, cherish our partnership ties, and are ready to develop them, to work together to create equal, indivisible security, and to build a new, more just, multipolar world," the head of state said in a video address (http://www.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/74854).
During the event, 1,500 domestic enterprises from the defense-industrial complex will showcase their products, with 110 foreign military delegations and company representatives expected to attend.
The forum will feature the latest weapons, many of which were developed considering real combat experience during the special operation in Ukraine, as well as captured foreign military equipment.
Visitors will witness a demonstration of the wheeled robot "Depesha," which can be used as a drone and transport vehicle. The improved reconnaissance drone Supercam S350M will also be presented.
The Central Design Bureau "Rubin" will showcase the non-nuclear submarine "Amur 950" and the autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle (AUV) "Argus-D." "Roskosmos" will present the "Marathon" broadband internet satellite and the "Express-RV" communications satellite.
Special attention will be given to missiles and their components. Models of the "Angara" and "Rokot-M" missiles, as well as various liquid-fuel, plasma, and other engines, will be on display.
Initially, the forum was planned to run from August 12 to 18, but it was later shortened to three days. The first day will be held in a closed format, and on August 13 and 14, it will be open to business guests.
