At the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, the Minister of Sports of Bashkortostan, Ruslan Khabibov, presented the International Sports Forum “Russia – A Sporting Power.” It will take place in Ufa from October 17 to 19, 2024, with participation expected from over 100 countries.
“We consider President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s decision to hold the country’s main sports forum, ‘Russia – A Sporting Power,’ in our republic as a great honor, immense trust, and recognition of Bashkortostan’s significant contribution to the development of the Olympic and Paralympic movements in Russia.
The forum will be a powerful stimulus for the further development of physical culture and sports in the republic and the country,” said Ruslan Khabibov.
Bashkortostan has successfully hosted major competitions for many years. Notable events included the Summer Deaflympics, the First International Sports Games for National and Non-Olympic Sports “Towards the Eurasiad,” and the Russian Women’s Boxing Championship.
For the “Russia – A Sporting Power” Forum, the Wrestling Palace has been opened, which will be the main venue for the exhibition and business programs of the Forum.
International and national competitions will be held at major sports facilities – the Fencing Center, the Canoe Slalom Complex, and the ice rink “Ufa Arena.”
