Estonian citizens will be prohibited from participating in events held on Russian and Belarusian territory, TASS reports. The government decided to support the proposal made by Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna. The minister clarified that the bill targets event organizers and their supporters.
Tallinn plans to impose a ban on assisting and supporting such events. Additionally, receiving funds from institutions, organizations, and individuals organizing and supporting them will be prohibited.
Violators of the ban face a hefty fine or up to five years in prison.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry compared the Estonian authorities to the leadership of Nazi Germany in terms of their level of Russophobia.
Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted that Tallinn increasingly resembles the Kyiv regime, especially in its efforts to turn Ukrainian nationalists and Estonian Waffen-SS members into "liberator heroes."
