The Russian government has extended the restriction on the export of gasoline until December 31, 2024. This was reported by the press service of the department on Wednesday, August 14.
"The decision was made to maintain a stable situation in the fuel market during the period of ongoing seasonal demand and planned maintenance at oil refineries," the Telegram channel said in a statement.
The department noted that the restriction will not apply to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements, including to EAEU countries. The ban will also not apply to fuel exported by citizens for personal use and for international aid purposes.
In February, the government introduced a ban on gasoline exports for six months, from March 1 to August 31. However, the ban was later lifted from late May to June 30, while restrictions for July and August remained. After this, at the end of June, the authorities allowed gasoline exports in July.
